This is an intervention in one of the largest blocks in the Chamberí neighborhood in central Madrid, where a large interior space has been freed up to be used as a garden with swimming pools. It’s been integrated with a large courtyard, recouping the original idea of the urban planning of this area.
The façade is integrated into the environment, fitting together with the neighboring façade of the same compositional rhythm.
A special feature of this development is that, in the apartments, the corner windows can be opened such that one part is embedded in the wall and the other, in its adjoining window, thus transforming the corner into a terrace.
Likewise, the ground floors are protected with operable slats that can become canopies, leaving the apartments completely open.
On the roof, the penthouses are duplexes and triplexes with their own private pools.
