Construction of the new hospital in Málaga begins
The third hospital of Málaga, designed with the participation of Estudio Lamela, has taken a decisive step toward construction with the tender for works published this week in the Official Journal of the European Union.
It will be the largest hospital in Andalusia and one of the most advanced in the country.
With a built area exceeding 270,000 m², the project is organized into four towers of up to 15 floors and will house 815 patient rooms, 48 operating theatres, and 80 intensive care beds, in addition to dedicated areas for teaching and research.
Human-centered design, accessibility, and patient well-being have been key drivers of the project, along with operational efficiency and the integration of cutting-edge medical technology.
