You’re invited to “Home away from home”

This afternoon, as part of FEARLESS FEST 2025, the exhibition “Home away from home” opens at La Casa de la Luz by SIMON. Estudio Lamela invites you to explore the history of its hotel architecture, from Antonio Lamela’s first projects in the 1960s to the studio’s most recent proposals.

On the screens of this iconic space, you’ll find images of projects such as the legendary Motel El Hidalgo (1959), Spain’s first roadside motel; the Tres Carabelas in Torremolinos (1961), an example of modern architecture (sadly demolished); and the Meliá Princesa Center (1967), which remains almost completely intact.

Alongside these are more recent projects like the residences at Real Madrid’s Sports City for the First Team and Youth Academy (2014), and our developments for Four Seasons: the Canalejas Center, which also houses a shopping gallery and 22 branded residences; the Four Seasons Formentor, the chain’s second hotel in Spain; and the Four Seasons Greece Hinitsa Bay, currently under development.

Also included are projects currently underway, such as the Radisson Collection on Calle Alcalá 21 in Madrid, and other national and international initiatives that were never built.

📆 Open for visits from May 13 to May 30.
