The Real Madrid Sports City project carried out in the first phase included 11 football pitches and a five-thousand-seat stadium, which can be enlarged to 20,000 seats in the future and was distributed over an area of 1,200,000 m2.
The project was formed of three fundamental areas: Those designed for the first team, those for the squad (with youth team and boys), and the common areas. The building’s volume adapts stepwise to the ground, with each different level symbolizing the rise in categories – from the boys’ team, to the youth team, to the professional team. The buildings designed are very simple, s ventilation and natural lighting. There is a predomination of bare spaces that emphasize the green areas of the whole sports complex.
