The 'Wok' luminaire has become a hallmark of T4 od Barajas airport (Madrid). Its large shape creates a false ceiling and optimizes the acoustics of the installation.
The round H3 lamp is conceived as a round decorative light for surface mounting with a secondary reflector. It was originally developed in collaboration with Richard Rogers Partnership for the wide arrivals-level terminals of the Madrid Barajas airport. The large wok shape give the sensation of a false ceiling over large surface areas and facilitates the maintenance of the facilities,as the said false ceiling does not exist. The size and shape also permits the optimization of the acoustics.
The pleasant clarity of the lamp is due to an ingenious technique of light. It also permits a uniform sound system through speakers that are integrated into the center of the lamp.
